Compare Cleaning Procedures and Recommendations

This chart lets you compare cleaning procedures and recommendations of the different water ionizer brands.Keep_it_Clean

All water ionizers will have an automated cleaning cycle but all water ionizer companies will also require additional “manual” cleaning.  Please note that the cleaning instructions have been abbreviated for space on this page, but we’ve tried to give you enough information to help you judge the time and effort required for cleaning.

The time required to perform the cleaning is broken down into “active” (time you’ll have to physically spend during the process) and “passive” (time the cleaning can proceed without your immediate presence).  Also, please note that cleaning frequency is listed for both standard conditions and for “hard water” conditions.
