No, not really – American Marine is the one I dislike the least. Still, you should be aware that – even with my best meters – I still get fluctuating results. If you decide to get a meter I suggest you get any conditioning solutions and cleaning materials available to help you with the meter. A jeweler’s cloth is best for “polishing” the probes but each time you use it you are wearing down the platinum coating on the probe.

And remember – when checking my meters I use several water ionizers to verify good/bad readings. While I’ve had many meters fail to give me proper readings, I’ve NEVER had a water ionizer that failed to produce ionized alkaline water with a respectable ORP. Bad results have always been related to the meters and I’ve learned to be patient and keep cleaning/conditioning the probes until I am getting “expected” readings from multiple machines.

Thanks Romi for that comprehensive and understandable explanation of ORP meters and the uncertainty of any results from them.

You mention trying out a new one; and that you may report back on it. I’d appreciate that update.

The alkaline water actually plays an role similar to fruits. Some types of fruit juices can reduce the acidity in the foods. Whenever we intake medicines, the acidity is formed in the stomach region. Some people believe that alkaline water can help to reduce the acidity in human beings. Thanks for the comparison. It is quite good!

hi,

I have been drinking alkaline water for close to a decade. Without a doubt, its the best for me and i believe i’m much healthier now. Alkaline water is an excellent antioxidant, with its smaller molecular structure it is easily penetrated into our cells to detoxify. There are two type of alkaline machine. One that uses electricity to ionize the water while the latter uses natural minerals and substance to achieve the alkaline effects. i personally uses both and would like to share and hear your opinion on the different types. rene
