An Acidic Body = A Breeding Ground for Disease. When we consume acidic foods, are exposed to pollution, or become stressed, we are creating an acidic environment within our bodies. Excess acidity leads to a general weakening of all processes within the human body. Dr. Sherry Rogers, author of “Tired or Toxic, a Blueprint for Health” states that she is Convinced that toxicity in the form of acidic waste is the primary cause of degenerative disease.”
When acid overtakes your body, your body is forced to borrow minerals such as calcium, sodium and potassium to neutralize the acid. Unfortunately, the places where your body must “borrow” these minerals are your vital organs and bones. Because of your body’s acidic state, it is susceptible to suffering severe corrosion, an issue that can go undetected for a number of years. We only notice the symptons after we develop pain in our joints or issues like osteoporosis or diabetes.
If we were exposed to elements that create acidic environments only on occasion, this wouldn’t be a large concern. However, in modern day, we are constantly exposed to pollution, stresses and acidic foods. This leads to a disturbing cycle of over acidity, a struggle to rebalance pH levels, and rising stress, which contributes to creating an acidic environment within the human body, inhibiting the body’s vital functions.
Acid waste travels throughout the body in the blood until the kidneys dump them or they are turned into fatty deposits. Because of the high amount of acidic food, drinks and water that we consume, this acid is being stocked in fatty deposits instead of being eliminated via the kidney and liver as it should be.
These fatty deposits lead to issues such as high cholesterol. Cholesterol is just one example of acid waste that has been solidified and stored for later removal, which may never occur as the body is unable to return to it’s natural balaned PH.
Obesity, a lower immunity, less energy, and loads of acid-related diseases are the cost that the body pays while protecting its detoxification organs. Acid corrodes your tissue and eats into the thousands of miles of veins and arteries in the body. Would you stick your hand into a vat of acid? Absolutely not! So why would you want to sit around and do nothing about the acidic environment that is ruling your body?
The skin begins to wrinkle and lose its elasticity because it’s deprived of healthy blood. When your body doesn’t have a properly balanced pH level, each part of your body is working to maintain and balance the pH level, and diseases can thrive in your body’s ever-weakened state. These diseases include cancer, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
Did you know that recent studies have shown that every single individual that has cancer is also over-acidic? Not 50% or 90%, but EVERYONE that has cancer has too much acid in their bodies. Cancer thrives in an acidic environment, but it cannot survive in an alkaline environment.
