Evontis Elite Installation – Standard

Evontis Elite Installation – Standard

The Evontis Elite installation process is easy and requires no special tools or plumbing experience.  Once you’ve got the unit and all of the installation parts set out the installation only takes about five minutes.  The video below takes you through the basic installation steps and includes a couple of tips to ensure a quick, easy and leak-free installation.

Although we’re installing the Evontis Elite water ionizer here, you can use this as a guide for installing almost any counter top water ionizer.  The parts and process are the same for

What You’ll Need

There are a couple of things you’ll want to have on hand for the installation:

  • A good pair of scissors to cut the hose to the right length
  • You may need a pair of pliers to remove the aerator from your faucet or to secure the diverter
  • Towel – to protect the face of the unit while you’re making the connections at the bottom
  • Teflon tape (optional) to ensure a good seal when connecting the diverter to the faucet

I’ve found a couple of other “odd” items come in handy during the installation as well – a small pot of water and a nail file.  Yes, these don’t sound like they have anything to do with an installation but I do these installations all the time and never start without them.

Before you get started with your installation, put that small pot of water on the stove to boil.  It doesn’t have to be at a rolling boil, you just want the water hot.  I’ve found water boiled on the stove is more effective than water “nuked” in the microwave.

The Evontis Elite installation video is only about 7 minutes long – like I said, these are easy to install.
