Free Your Faucet – Chanson G2 Faucet

Chanson G2 Faucet

Out of the blue, I’ve received a number of calls this week from counter top water ionizer customers looking for an alternative to the faucet adapter installation.  While many water ionizers can be connected directly to the cold water line under the sink with no problems, other water ionizers need a valve to stop and start the water supply.

The solution I’ve been sharing with everyone this week: Chanson’s G2 Faucet.

Enagic, Watershed, Chanson – these are some of the water ionizer brands that have what I call “flow through” function – meaning that if water is flowing TO the unit, water is

flowing THROUGH the unit. Connecting these water ionizers directly to the cold water line below the sink means there will be a constant supply of water to the unit – and with a “flow through” unit, you MUST have a way to turn the water flow on and off.

I’ve sent so many e-mails with images, information and installation guides on the G2 Faucet this week that I decided to post the information here.

This is a short & sweet summary but here are the basics:

The G2 Faucet allows for connecting directly to the cold water line below the sink so you don’t have all of the “gear” hanging off of your faucet.

The faucet also has a spout for the waste water – instead of the drain hose hanging into the sink it will connect to the G2 Faucet. The water you want (based on your selection on the SD501) will come out of the dispenser hose at the top of the unit, then the “drain water” will flow to the G2 Faucet and out through the spout.

In the installation image here, you will notice that there are two hoses connected to the G2 Faucet – one is sending water to the ionizer, the other is bringing water from the acid drain hose which then flows out through the spout on the G2 Faucet. Instead of having one hose connecting to a faucet adapter and one hose draining into the sink, you’ll have one hose connected two hoses connected to the G2 Faucet – one supplying water to the ionizer, the other sending the drain water to the faucet and out through the spout.

You will still get water from your ionizer through the dispenser hose at the top of the unit – the unit will still sit on your counter top which means you have full access to the control panel to select the pH level of water you want.
