I’ve gotten headaches during the first few days of drinking ionized water. Is this related?

Often, when people start drinking ionized water, they will show signs of detoxification. The water will cleanse your body and help eliminate toxins.
Headaches are a trademark sign of detox. My father and I did not have that experience but we did feel a bit gassy and bloated the first 2 days. Every body is different.
Other detox symptoms that have been reported by new alkaline ionized water drinkers include:
Loose stools or diareah
As the water begins helping your body eliminate toxins, certain areas of the body – and brain – that have become used to excess toxins can get a bit confused. After weeks, months or years of adapting to handle increased toxins, it can take a few days for your body to re-adapt to less toxic state.
Once your body gets the message that it has less acidity and toxins to process, it begins redirecting it’s energies and processes in a more natural way which ultimately leaves you feeling healthier and more energetic.
You should always start drinking alkaline water at the lowest alkaline pH setting. If you become uncomfortable with the detox symptoms once you begin drinking the water, cut back on the amount you are drinking each day. Drink a few glasses at the neutral or purified setting on your water ionizer – this water is filtered but won’t have the extra “detox” properties that are created at one of the alkaline levels.
Once you have had a day or two without detox symptoms you are ready to increase either the alkaline level or the amount of alkaline ionized water you drink each day. Keep moving up until you are at the 9.0 or 9.5 pH level.
If you begin experiencing unpleasant detox symptoms at any level as you move up, again – drink fewer glasses at your current alkaline level and have a few extra glasses at the neutral or purified setting.
