Believe it or not: the water that you drink can have a lot to do with the amount of nutrients and minerals that your body is able to absorb. First, it's important that you understand exactly how important it is that your body be able to absorb the proper amount of nutrients including calcium.
The consumption and absorption of an adequate amount of minerals is extremely important to the overall health of your body. When your body is able to soak up the right amount of minerals, the body's conductivity of electricity is at a healthy level, leading to a healthy and effective nervous system. The body's nervous system works to monitor how efficiently or inefficiently vital organs and other important systems are working.
The pH level of your body has a lot to do with the ability of various minerals such as calcium to be absorbed. Each specific mineral or nutrient has its own pH level that allows for it to be efficiently absorbed by the body and its blood.
If you look at the periodic chart of elements, you will see that calcium, an important nutrient, is listed towards the top of the chart. It and other elements that are higher on the periodic chart require very specific pH levels in order to be properly absorbed by the body. On the other hand, the elements that are listed towards the lower portion of the chart will be absorbed over a broader range of pH levels.
Taking this into consideration, it only makes sense that you will not be able to efficiently absorb calcium and many other minerals if your body's pH level is not balanced. In the present day, the majority of the population exists with a body that is highly acidic due to the acidic nature of our food combined with daily stress and pollution, both of which help to create acidic conditions.
These acidic conditions mean that our pH levels are always imbalanced, and it is more difficult for our bodies to regulate and be able to absorb calcium, along with other essential minerals and nutrients.
Calcium deficiency can lead to many painful conditions including osteoporosis, weakened bones, nerve and muscle impairment, abnormal heartbeat, osteoarthritis, and more. Osteoarthritis, also known as degenerative arthritis or degenerative joint disease, is a condition that results in pain in the joints. This pain is caused by the cartilage that cushions joints having been abnormally worn. Eventually, most osteoarthritis patients experience pain while doing such menial tasks as standing or walking.
Obviously, it is extremely important that our bodies receive the correct amount of calcium and other necessary minerals. In order to regulate your body's pH level and ensure that your body is primed to absorb these minerals, you should add ionized water to your diet. The alkalinity of the water helps to regulate the acidic environment in your body and keeps your pH levels healthy and regular.
