Ionized Water and Weight Loss
Believe it or not: the pH level of your body has a lot to do with weight gain and weight loss. To understand the affect that pH has on your body and weight, you first need to understand how pH levels work. The scale we use to measure pH is logarithmic, meaning that each whole pH value above 7 is ten times for alkaline than the next lower digit. On the other hand, if the pH changes from 7 to 6, then the substance is more acidic. Your body's highest priority is regulating the pH of your blood. The blood is the body's only transport system for nutrients; this means that it can't afford to be acidic.
All of your organs work constantly to ensure that your blood is kept at the correct pH level. The ideal pH level for your blood is 7.365. If it dips down to pH 7, for example, your blood will be approximately four times more acidic than it should be. You would slip into a coma and die from the poisoning of your blood. When you ingest acidic foods, pollution, or if you experience stress, then you create an acidic environment within your body. The acid waste travels throughout your body via the blood until the kidneys dump them.
More likely than not, the acid waste is turned into fatty deposits because your body is constantly in battle to protect your vital organs, including detox organs such as the kidney and liver, from the acid waste that accumulates within your body. Because of the high amount of acidic food that we consume along with the regular stresses and pollutants that we encounter each day, this acid waste is stocked in fatty deposits instead of being eliminated via the detoxification organs as it should be. These fatty deposits are stored as far away from your vitals organs as possible. Therefore, most weight gain occurs in the chest, thighs, belly and buttocks. If you look at it one way, it seems as though fat is saving our lives by protecting our body's vital organs from damaging acid waste. These fatty deposits lead to other health issues such as high cholesterol and diabetes. This is just one way that acid is adding weight to your body. It's important that we take the proper steps to balance our body's pH level and ensure that our body is not home of an acidic environment.
The body's metabolic process depends on balance. There are trillions of cells in the human body; these cells have acidic interiors, and the interstitial fluid that surrounds them is alkaline. Without the proper balance between the interior and exterior of these cells, the cells have a hard time flowing into surrounding tissues. This makes the body's metabolism very low, which leads to weight gain. There is something you can do to help balance the polarity of your body's cells. Drink ionized water.
Ionized water has an alkaline pH level that helps to balance your body's acidic environment. This balance leads to higher metabolism, and with a higher metabolism, you will find it easier to lose the fatty deposits that have gathered due to acid waste within your body. Proper polarity equals higher metabolism. Higher metabolism equals less fat. Weight loss and high energy is much easier to achieve when the body is re-balanced.
