KYK Cleaning Cartridge

Citric acid cleaning cartridge for use in KYK water ionizers.

Compatible with all KYK Generation II models and most original (red/black) KYK Genesis, IonQuench and Genesis Platinum models. 

To verify compatibility, attempt to remove the chip (used to connect filter electrode) from the #2 filter.  If you are able to remove the chip and it matches the chip shown in the image gallery here, the cleaning cartridge will be compatible with your model.

The cleaning cartridge is recommended for use every 12 - 18 months to remove scale buildup from the plates and hoses inside the unit.  If you are in a hard water area it may be necessary to run the cleaning cartridge more often.

One-time-use cartridge installs in place of the #2 filter inside the unit.
